Jaipur Trip

Jaipur, also known as the pink city, is not just a beautiful tourist destination but also a place where businesses play a big role in helping local people and in keeping old traditions alive. On the 29th of September, 2024 Aravali International School partnered with Ed Terra to organize a student trip to Jaipur. During their recent trip, they had the opportunity to experience this beautiful intersection of culture, tourism, and community-driven business models.

Plantation Drive

Our students in Interact Club organized a huge plantation push with the goal of healing the planet, turning arid areas into verdant havens. By collecting and donating thousands of papers in an unprecedented effort, we earned a distinguished place in the Genie's Book of World Records, demonstrating that even seemingly insignificant activities may have a significant impact.

Haywood Farm

The highlight of the tour was being able to harvest *strawberries, radishes, oranges, and carrots* straight from the fields. The use of *organic manure, neem oil, and jeevaamrit* made the farm produce extremely fresh, edible, and chemical-free. The availability of *beautiful sitting spaces* and delicious *farm-to-table food* also added a lot to our tour experience. The strawberries were rich red in color and sweet. They were a big hit, and we were happy to bring some home. We look forward to the coming harvests of watermelon, muskmelon, jackfruit, and avocado. We cannot wait to return. Haywood Farms is an excellent blend of nature, stewardship of nature, and excellent service.

Prayas

Interacting with the children was the best experience during our stay. Their enthusiasm, perseverance, and desire to learn struck a chord within us. Through storytelling sessions, art sessions, and activities, we were able to create a happy and motivating atmosphere. We became even more firmly convinced that learning and support could change lives when we saw what the work of the NGO was doing for these children. Also to be praised were the organization's efforts at empowering women and enhancing their skills. Prayas is dedicated to spurring community self-sufficiency through anything from health awareness programs to handicraft and tailoring training.

1.1 Business Operations and Economic Influence • Pricing Model: The products are of very low cost which makes it easier for people to buy them. They make great quality decor and furniture accessible at very lower prices compared to mainstream retailers. • Consumer Interaction: Negotiation is done , enhancing customer engagement and increases business. • Challenges: The market had encountered many challenges due to infrastructural development, impacting seller stability. 1.2 Economic Contribution The Banjara Market is a huge contributor to the informal economy of our country as it provides employment to artisans, traders and transport workers. The market is preserving traditional skills that might otherwise decline.
